Freedom Memorial Project

In cooperation with the Initiative Freedom Memorial Checkpoint Charlie and the Checkpoint Charlie Museum, we have launched the Freedom Memorial Project.  This international private/public initiative will preserve the former Checkpoint Charlie site as a permanent memorial and educational center commemorating the struggles and ultimate victory of freedom that brought a peaceful conclusion to the Cold War.  It is essential to preserve this site for future generations as a proper, dignified and inclusive monument to those who confronted the evils of Soviet communism and forever removed the Iron Curtain.
