Henry Nickel received his
appointment to Chairman of Germany's Republicans Abroad in October
2003. Henry originates from Redlands, California and currently resides in
Berlin. Henry recently returned to Germany following two years of service
at the United States Treasury Department in Washington DC. Prior to his
appointment to the civil service, he served as Press Director of the Republicans
Abroad in Germany during the 2000 Presidential election.
In addition to serving Republicans
Abroad, Henry owns and manages a private investment and international marketing
consultancy based in Washington DC. Henry obtained his BA from American
University in Washington DC with a major in communications, legal
institutions, economics and government. He has also received formal
training in campaign and lobbying management at the Center
for Congressional and Presidential Studies (CCPS) in Washington DC.
Henry is an active member of the American
German Business Club (AGBC) in both Washington DC and Berlin. He
attends the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Berlin Neukoelln and when not
working in Berlin or Washington, spends time renovating his historic country
home near Dresden.
